Kristina Pisa – Translator and interpreter
Everyone has a talent of their own: mine is translating — if possible while wearing mechanic’s overalls, surrounded by electronic technicians, mechanics and operators who want to learn how to use and maintain a new piece of equipment. My childhood ambition to dedicate myself to teaching found its natural outlet in this wonderful profession which I happily exercise on training courses or technical seminars.
My commitment to the technical translation field absorbs me completely:
I have translated thousands of pages of manuals, spent hundreds of days interpreting and worked with great flexibility, moving from one end of Italy to the other and abroad, and making myself available for support on the night shift, for example during the commissioning stages of new plants for daily papers.
Printing is certainly the field in which I have particularly specialised, having been the translator and interpreter of choice in Italy for the world’s largest manufacturers of rotary presses, for well-known newspaper titles and for a number of research and training organisations in the area of technology applied to the graphic arts industry.
But the most important thing is that my twenty years of collaboration in close contact with specialists in various technologies has enriched my knowledge to the point where I have no difficulty in adapting to a wide range of industrial environments, including yours: I am ready to become an expert in your sector, working alongside you to build a winning team.
As a translator I can satisfy a broad spectrum of requirements, from internal corporate communication to legal or marketing texts aimed at making your products stand out online. For my clients, who include leading international companies in the sectors of renewable energy, integrated control solutions and IT, mechanical engineering and the pharmaceutical industry, I pay detailed attention to the terminology and scrupulously follow specific editorial guidelines, thus contributing to reinforcing the corporate image and improving the brand image.
I graduated in 1995 with first class honours in Foreign Languages and Literature at Verona University; in 1998 I obtained a Master for Translators and Interpreters in Information Technology and Data Transmission at CTI Italy in Milan, and in 2015 a University Master, second level, in Legal Translation at Trieste University. I have been a freelance professional since 1998 and I have committed myself since then to continuous training by attending specialist courses devoted to further professional development.
